  Bordeaux Bienvenue is the result of a programme set up by the Bordeaux Métropole Tourist and Convention Office to provide a structure for high-quality, sustainable hosting for major professional events with a positive impact on the region. The scheme focuses on high-quality, sustainable hosting to ensure that your events run smoothly, optimise your participants' experience and build bridges with local stakeholders. 

  Congresses and trade exhibitions are supported by local institutions, which can offer, subject to availability and meeting certain criteria: 

  • Free public transport 
  • Flag display 
  • Hotel charter  
  • VIP reception at the City Hall for up to 300 people, hosted by the Mayor or one of his representatives 
  • Information brochures, maps, etc. 
  • Welcome points at the train station and airport 
  • Information stand in the exhibition area of the congress centre 
  • Royalty-free media library: Bordeaux Tourisme et Congrès media library 

• Bordeaux Métropole Tourist & Convention Office

  

  The Bordeaux Métropole Tourist & Convention Office is responsible for promoting and developing tourism and events in the region. Its missions are structured around three key areas: 

  • Leisure tourism 
  • Local tourism 
  • Business tourism & professional events 

  Alongside Bordeaux Métropole, Bordeaux Tourisme implements a destination strategy aligned with the metropolitan roadmap adopted in March 2022: "Building, together, a recognized destination for responsible tourism." The office operates within a dynamic ecosystem of partnerships and collaborations, enabling it to fulfill its various missions.

  The Bordeaux Métropole Tourist & Convention Office is a dedicated team of 63 permanent employees, working on: 

  • Welcoming and informing visitors and local residents 
  • Promoting and communicating the destination to leisure travelers and event organizers 
  • Selling tourism services and related products 
  • Organizing events, including Bordeaux Fête le Vin 

  At the local level: 

  • Training and research 
  • Coordinating and developing the member network 
  • Supporting professionals in their transition toward responsible tourism
