Hi Valérie! So, what exactly do you do at Bordeaux Events?

I’m in charge of the Exhibition and Congress side of things. For professionals and the public alike. I also deal with the “development” aspect, or in other words I have to look for new clients. To do this I rely on my network, I go through exhibitions and fairs, and I target specific events such as large Congresses which we would like to host.

Once a link is established, I guide the client up until the rental contract is signed. After that, the case falls into the hands of our technical project managers for the more operational aspects.

What did you do before joining Bordeaux Events?

I’ve been working in venue management for 24 years now. I first started at Viparis. I learned everything during those 10 years with them. Then, I was contacted by Jaulin, and I was asked to take up a fine challenge: to rehabilitate an old train station from 1927, located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, and transform it into a space fit for hosting events.

Since I love challenges, I followed up with the renovation of old France Boissons warehouses: the now Paris Event Center, still active to this day. About 6 years ago I came down to the capital of Gironde to live closer to my family. I first joined the company Créatifs (specialized in general installations for events) to open a branch in Bordeaux. Unfortunately, Covid sank this great project. So, I called back Bordeaux Events that happened to have an available spot and here I am!

What do you like the most about your job ?

Customer relationship! No hesitation!

What event do you dream of hosting in Bordeaux?

Something to do with music! I was almost born in a flight case to go on tour with my father. I’d want it to be festive and maybe a hybrid event, a mix between B2B and B2C.

What other jobs would you have wanted to do?

Danseuse étoile. 25 years of Ballet dancing for my utmost pleasure.

A little fun story to tell.? We swear we won’t tell a soul! 🤫

I am in LOVE with knitting! I make ponchos, beanies, scarfs, pull overs…

And what do your colleagues say about you?
